A nice little off grid pop up campsite, excellent for nature lovers and those that just want to sit back and relax. With the added bonus of portaloos, whilst not everyone's cup of tea, it makes life easier. Nice little village location with surrounding woodland for walkers. Detailed area guide and nearby places

Burntwood is a former mining town steeped in working-class history and surrounded by lush Staffordshire countryside. It offers a great middle ground between town and country, with practical amenities close at hand and some surprisingly scenic spots just minutes away. Cozy Nook benefits from its tucked-away location, while still keeping you close to key attractions and natural beauty.

One of the most popular spots nearby is Chasewater Country Park, just a 10-minute drive away. With a vast reservoir, nature trails, birdwatching hides, and even a miniature railway, it’s a great day out for nature lovers, families, or those just wanting to stretch their legs. Walk the perimeter path or grab a coffee from the lakeside café — there’s space here for both peace and play.

Also close by is Cannock Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Whether you’re into mountain biking, hiking, or just fancy a wander through woodlands and heathland, the Chase is packed with trails, viewpoints, and history. Visit the Cannock Chase Visitor Centre for maps and routes, or explore the old military training areas and war memorials dotted across the landscape.

For more urban outings, Lichfield is just 15 minutes away. This cathedral city is known for its stunning Gothic spires, quaint streets, and independent shops. Grab lunch at a café, explore the museum and gardens, or stroll through Beacon Park. You’ll also find supermarkets, pubs, and essentials within Burntwood itself — handy if you’re staying for more than a night or two.

Food and drink? You’re sorted. The Old Beerhouse offers traditional pub fare, and nearby options range from curry houses to chip shops and local cafés. For a proper night out, Lichfield’s nightlife and dining scene has plenty to offer — all within easy reach.

If you’re after something quirky, the National Brewery Centre in Burton-on-Trent is around 25 minutes away and offers a fascinating look at Britain’s brewing history, along with tastings and tours. Prefer animals? Drayton Manor Theme Park and Twycross Zoo are each within 30–40 minutes’ drive.

In short, Cozy Nook is more than just a stopover — it’s a base camp for adventure, history, and lazy afternoons. From countryside rambles to pint-pulling stories by the fire, this little site offers big character in a spot that keeps you connected to everything Staffordshire has to offer.
