Campitch (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a campsite discovery and booking platform built by campers, for campers. Our website address is: https://www.campitch.co.uk.

When you register as a camper or vendor, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Campsite information (for vendors)

This is necessary to create your account and let you use platform features.

✅ Booking Information

For each booking, we store:

  • Contact and travel details
  • Booking history
  • Messages between campers and vendors

This allows us to process bookings securely and communicate effectively.

✅ Payments & Payouts

Payments are processed via Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves. Vendors receive payouts through Stripe Connect.

✅ Reviews, Wall Posts, and Messages

If you interact socially on Campitch (e.g. post on a wall, leave a review, send a message), your name and content may be publicly visible depending on the context.

✅ Device and Usage Data

We use tools like Google Analytics and basic logs to understand:

  • What pages are visited
  • What devices people use
  • Where users come from (e.g. Google)

This helps us improve the site experience.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Measure traffic via analytics

4. Who we share your data with

  • Stripe: for secure payment processing
  • Vendors: if you’re a camper making a booking

We retain your data:

  • As long as your account is active
  • As long as legally required for business and tax purposes
